Early morning discussion at home between Anu, Aadi and I.
Me: Aadi will become Sachin when he grows up.
Anu: No way, he will be Shahrukh.
and so on
After five minutes both parents turn to win the argument.
Aadi thinks looks up and says: I will be Aadi Agarwal when I grow up. Since the entire repartee was in Hindi, Aadi's exact words were:main bada hoke Aadi Agarwal banunga.
Touche.
This is the story of Aadi, a wannabe paddler, his parents, his friends, his coaches, his training, his struggles, his victories, his life...

Shreya's Poem
Shreya wrote this poem when her mom took away her phone.
P.S. I LOVE YOU
OH MY DEAR! MY ONLY ONE
IN THE DARKNESS YOU ARE MY SUN!
WITHOUT YOU WHAT CAN I BE?
OH! ITS JUST INCOMPLETE ME…
YOU ARE MY ENTERTAINER WHEN I AM BORED
MY COMPANION ON A LONELY ROAD
RIGHT NOW I AM THINKING OF YOU
NOT TO MENTION I AM MISSING YOU TOO
YOU WERE WITH ME, STUCK LIKE GLUE.
RIGHT NOW WITHOUT YOU, I AM SO BLUE.
YOU WERE AND ARE ‘THE APPLE OF MY EYE’
FOR ME IT WAS SO DIFFICULT TO SAY GOODBYE
WITHOUT YOU, RIGHT NOW I CRY
TO FORGET YOU, I TRY AND TRY AND TRY
MY PARENTS BROKE OUR BOND
OF EACH OTHER WE WERE SO FOND
I REMEMBER OUR LAST MEMORIES
WITH YOU I WAS HAVING THOSE STRAWBERRIES
DON’T WORRY I WON’T FORGET YOU,
THAT IS UNLESS YOU WANT ME TO.
YOU DID MY CALCULATIONS FOR ME,
OH HOW I THANK THEE!
OUR MOMENTS TOGETHER WERE PURE BLISS
I HOPE YOU ARE READING THIS
YOU ARE MY GUIDING STAR
MY ‘BREAK, MY ‘KITKAT’ BAR
FOR YOU I GROAN AND I MOAN
I MISS YOU MY DEAR PHONE.

These are interesting times
The Chinese have a favourite wish, which goes "May you live in interesting times." It seems the wishes of all my friends are coming true. This happened earlier today while going to office. Was part of an eight-car-pile up on the western express highway. Ironically only car nos 7&8 had severe damage. The others drove away even before the cops got there.

Aadi's first trek
Aadi finally did something both his parents enjoy tremendously...go for a trek. The location: karnala bird sanctuary. The trek: 3 kms uphill to reach a look out post built up Shivaji. The fort is only visible a few hundred meters from it. Normally takes about 3 hours to go up and about 2 to come down the trial. But as it was his first time, we stopped about a kilometer into the climb.
